Meetingpoint.evs is the ex-EVS network for Flemish people. However, our activities are open to foreign EVS people (and friends) as well! Be welcome!
Meetingpoint.evs is run by volunteers, who are all ex-EVS.
We organise activities from 4 to 6 times a year.
We want to offer several opportunities to EVS volunteers to get together in an informal way, to meet up and share experiences and stories (both Belgian ex-EVS and actual non-Belgian EVS people).
It’s low budget, because we know we are dealing with volunteers/students… We try to keep costs as democratic as possible, maximum of € 3,00 (depending on the activity).
We don’t spam, and we don’t do political statements. We don’t phone your host organisation to tell them about your alcohol behaviour neither.
We have fun! We visit a city, go for a ride, have a drink, talk, … We exchange experiences!
Meetingpoint.evs began in 2000 when some enthusiastic ex-EVS people started to organise activities to keep in touch with eachother and to share experiences.
You get to know people from abroad who are doing their EVS in Flanders. You will be updated about other EVS-events. You get tips and tricks about Belgium, feel the international spirit, … and get in touch with the local community and learn about the habits in Flanders.
A lot of people who don’t know each other. EVS projects and people often just come once or twice, so you come into a group that is not a closed club of friends, but rather a welcoming, sparkling, interesting chat amalgam.
